Play time with your cat is essential, but sometimes overlooked. Interacting with our feline friends for a few minutes a couple times a day has many benefits for both our species. For us, playing with our cats is a great way to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, & stave off loneliness. For cats, playing is great exercise. It also increases confidence, trust, & environmental comfort while reducing fear & stress. Not to mention the added benefit of less boredom for kitty, which means they’ll be less likely to display undesirable behaviors like attacking feet or clawing furniture. For both of us, it will strengthen the very important human-feline bond.
