Dr. Mark A. Beerenstrauch D.V.M

Dr. Mark Beerenstrauch was raised in DeWitt, Nebraska, population 400. DeWitt, Nebraska is famous for being the original home of the “VISE-GRIP”. He grew up loving and participating in a variety of sports, and true passion is Nebraska Cornhusker football.

While studying for a business degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Dr. Beerenstrauch adopted a puppy named Nita. After Nita, Dr. B decided to pursue the field of veterinary medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and then attended Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, he moved to Las Vegas in 2004 and has been Hospital Director at Durango Animal Hospital for 4 years. Dr. Beerenstrauch’s work-related interests included dentistry and practice management.

At home he lives with his one-eyed dog Babas and his three-legged cat JB. In the fall, Dr. B spends part of his time traveling to multiple Nebraska Football games to support the “Husker Nation”. Along with football, Dr. B. enjoys going to concerts (country music or hair bands), playing Nebraska trivia with his staff, and eating sushi.
