Dr. Christina Munn D.V.M

Dr Munn

Dr. Christina Munn grew up in Asheville, NC. Her hometown is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In high school, she enjoyed playing tennis, and running track. She was involved in many music groups including choir and marching band where she played the piccolo and flute.

Dr. Munn has always dreamed of becoming a vet. She loved going to her local veterinarian with her dogs, and when she was 14, her family adopted a pregnant cat. When the kittens were born, they had severe ringworm and herpes virus infections. One of them almost died. She enjoyed nursing them back to health so much that after that experience, her fate as a vet was sealed.

Dr. Munn graduated from North Carolina State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a minor in Zoology. At NC State, she was president of Companion Animal Club where she worked with a variety of non-profit organizations like feline rescues, Great Dane rescues, tiger havens, and many small animal shelters. She especially enjoyed going to the Wolfpack basketball games!

In 2011, she completed her doctorate of veterinary medicine degree at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She especially enjoys ophthalmology and exotic animal medicine. Her favorite part of vet school was working with a tiger rescue. She loves pocket pets!

After vet school, Dr. Munn moved to Las Vegas, where her husband lives. They have 2 tabby cats, Frasier and Emma, who love to get into trouble! She and her husband Ben enjoy being outdoors. They both love hiking and camping, and enjoy trying new restaurants and going to movies. She loves to sing and play the piano in her free time.
